Working from home...

Well it's a week since I closed the shop door for the last time, and whilst I was so very sad to do this, I know it has been the right decision.

At first when I decided I had to close the shop I felt like I had failed, but then I realised I hadn't failed...I have successfully created a lovely business called Serendipity which opened initially as a pretty bricks and mortar shop, but has now evolved and moved with the times into the online industry...

This is no failure, this is the business evolving - moving into its next phase

And whilst I have been sad to say goodbye to all my lovely regular customers I am excited about what the future for Serendipity holds.

This break from the physical shop has also given me the opportunity to look at going back to working within the manufacturing side of the greetings industry as the online business will complement a regular job. I have a couple of irons in the fire regards finding a job, and will keep you posted on this...

So, having spent a very productive Tuesday with the help of my lovely cousin Emily, I started the big "pack up" at the shop - I can't believe just how much stuff I had accumulated over the 2 years the shop was open
I also need to get my stock onto the websites as soon as possible as it isn't earning me any money unless it is online now...
So the rest of the week has involved me adding lots and lots of cards to www.cardsfromserendipity.com in between throwing the ball again and again and again for Willow.

I have certainly timed this change of direction well - sitting out in the garden with the laptop and stock these last couple of days has been fantastic...

So, as I have said to everyone who has wished me well in this new move...onwards and upwards - here's to the exciting times ahead at Serendipity..x
